How to remove rust from golf clubs?
November 12th, 2008 | by admin |jtsocali81 asked:
I recently was given a used set of golf clubs, and have cleaned them up with some soap & water and polished them a bit… but there still seems to be some rust on the “back cavity” of the clubs (not the part the ball is hit with but the back). I have heard some WD-40…but does anyone know if this works, or have any other ideas on how to clean the rust up? Thanks!

WD-40 works good, spray some on it, and get a golf brush made of metal, and go scrubbing, should not be that hard to get it cleaned, unless the rust is deep, in which case, better put the clubs in the bin and get new ones (or a decent pre-owned).

Naval Jelly. You Can Get It At A Home Depot, Lowes, Even the Wal*Mart. Consider Keeping Some Of the Rust On The Faces Of Your Irons As It Will Increase The Spin Rate Of Your Shots Giving You More Control On The Greens. A Little Extra Rust May Turn Your Top Flites Into Pro V’s.
